The island has many delights. You can do
what you like or just do nothing at all.
Being close to the cooling breezes of the
southeast trades, Qamea offers excellent wind
sports like sailing and windsurfing. There
is no additional charge for use of snorkeling
equipment, sail boards, sail boats and outrigger
paddle boats, but it is quite possible that
just lazing on the beach is all the activity
that you'll require.
The water is warm and inviting. Snorkeling
on the house reef is a pleasure enjoyed by
everyone. If you want to learn to dive, we
have a fully qualified dive instructor on hand
to teach you in a professional and friendly
way. |

This stunning split-level bure is built
in the traditional Fijian style with high woven
bamboo ceilings and polished hardwood floors.
The upper level is the bedroom and two steps
take you down to the lounge. Both rooms face
the sea and have access to the large verandah
by sliding glass and screened doors. The bure
is raised six steps above the lawn and is fully
screened.
The bedroom is appointed with a large bamboo
king-sized bed, side tables with figured lamps,
large wardrobe, vanity unit, lounge chair and
decorative mosquito net over the bed. Throw cushions,
mats and other ornaments add to the overall luxurious
effect.
The lounge has two divans, both of which can
become beds when needed, imported bamboo lounge
suite, side tables, sideboard for minibar and
tea/coffee making facilities and decorative
table lamps and paintings. Both of these rooms
are cooled by overhead fan and have decorative
plants and planters. The spacious deck has
lounge chairs, table and hammock.
The bathroom has a large sunken shower, toilet
and twin wash hand basins, all in large white
tile, glass brick and with soft beige painted
timber. There is a back entrance for an outside
shower and easy access to the fresh water swimming
pool.
This is a romantically ideal bure for honeymooners
but also, because of its size, is suitable
for a family of three or four, for example
parents with teenage children. |
