Q:
my son and his fiance are getting married at a hotel in new orleans. He is jewish and she is catholic. They are going to incorporate some traditions of each religion into the ceremony. Can you tell me where they rent a "chupah" or wedding canopy in new orleans. Their florist has an arbour in metal that can be decorated, but is there anything more traditional?

My fiance and I live in Chicago and are getting married in York, ME. We heard that most people don't like to fly with their rented tuxedos - instead, they get measured where they live and pick the tuxes up at a sister-store closer to the wedding location. We can't seem to find a store that is not to far from us in Chicago AND has a location not too far from Portsmouth, NH (where most of the guests will be staying.) Do you have any recommendations for us?

You should be able to rent trees from your florist. As a matter of fact I have a wedding I am decorating for this June and I am renting my bride all the decorations for the ceremony and reception which includes several trees.

To sell a wedding dress you could put an ad in the local paper. Or have a tag sale. You could also do a search on AOL, or other search directories. Type in used wedding gowns and there you will find some listings for consignment shops that might be able to take your gown to sell.

A:
There is a store called College Formal in West Springfield, MA. I m pretty sure that they rent gowns but I do not know if they will ship one. If they don t ship maybe they know another store that will. You could call and get information at 413 737-7751.
