Kate O’Brien and her OBRIEN STRINGS tailor each performance, using her years of experience to help each event run smoothly and joyfully. Kate’s violin playing is always a pleasure for her as well as for your guests! She assists in choosing the music selections (the fun part) and handles the behind-the-scenes logistics and paperwork, communicating in a timely manner, knowing what questions need to be asked and answered, coping with any last minute surprises or changes and arriving early to set up and touch base with venues and officiants.
In addition to solo violin, her ensembles play together regularly, and Kate continues to arrange a broad spectrum of classical favorites, popular standards, and current music specifically for her groups and for special requests. Duos, Trios, Quartets and mixed ensembles can fit your budget and musical ideas.
Her STRING TRIO repertoire is one of a kind, and well known for its variety and suitability for all types of weddings and events. The Trio can accompany singers, play with a local organist, and even get folks dancing! In a large venue, Kate can provide a PA system to gently amplify the sound of the acoustic instruments.
Her VIOLIN-GUITAR DUO captivates audiences with their blend of current and traditional music, playing extended engagements at area restaurants and hundreds of private functions.
