We are an energetic bunch with diverse musical tastes and influences. We come together with a singleness of purpose - to produce grooves so powerful your guests will storm the dance floor. It would be our pleasure to contribute our musical abilities to your celebration. We feel the love when you dance your first dance, and we'll express it back to you in every note we play.

Abigail Clavijo - Vocals
Abigail grew up in New Hampshire and studied voice at Tufts University. She sang in various jazz ensembles, the big band and the Gospel choir at Tufts. She studied voice abroad in Cuba at the University of Havana, where she also performed in local jazz venues. Since graduating Tufts, she has lived in Lima, Peru; Bogota, Colombia and Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she sang in International jazz festivals and local jazz night clubs. She has been back in the states for a year now and continues singing and recording her own music. She is an accomplished singer in many different styles of music including musica latina.

Matt Clauhs - Saxophone & Flute & Vocals
Matt grew up in Bucks County, PA. He studied saxophone and flute at Penn State University while obtaining a B.S. in music education. In the State College area, Matt led his own group, the Freedom Jazz Quintet, and performed weekly gigs with two other jazz ensembles: the Andrew Jackson Jazz Showcase and Groove Affliction. After graduating from Penn State, Matt moved to Massachusetts and began work as a instrumental music teacher in the Boston Public School District, where he teaches Jazz Band, Jazz mprovisation, Music Theory and Music History at the Boston Arts Academy, a public high school for the performing and visual arts. Matt is also employed by the Berklee College of Music Prep School Program, directing a jazz ensemble for students in the Boston community. Matt will complete a Masters in Music Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in August, 2008.

Rodrigo Bonelli - Drums
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Bonelli began studying drums at a young age. His early training led him to the Rio de Janeiro University, where he continued his studies as a music education major. After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Uni-Rio, Rodrigo was granted a scholarship to study in Boston at the Berklee College of Music. Soon after graduating from Berklee in 2005, Rodrigo was working and performing with some of Boston’s top musicians including Berklee faculty member John Lockwood, Nick Goumas, Julie Lavendar, Heather Schmid, Beantown Project, New York based John Tutino and Les Fish of the Latin Jazz Cats. He is also an integral member of the Katrina Degal Jazz Quartet, which works regularly around Boston and not only performs, but has recorded his original compositions. Not only has Rodrigo proven to be an accomplished drummer and composer, he is also a prominent music teacher in the Boston area, where he maintains a busy schedule of private students as well as teaching for both the Brookline Music School and the Solomon Schechter Day School in Newton. With his ability to perform in many genres, including Latin, Rock, Funk and Jazz, Rogrigo helps keep the fresh in Phresh Act .

Bill Sahlas - Guitar and Vocals
Bill was born and raised in the All American City of Somerville, MA, located just outside of Boston and the home of Davis Square. For the past 20 years, he has played R&B, rock and jazz with many local acts. Influenced by artists Eric Clapton, Mike Stern, George Benson and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few, Bill has studied music theory and soleful grooves with local Boston legends and Berklee alums Bruce Bartlett and Sal DiFusco. A true music enthusiast with eclectic interests, he digs many styles--jazz, rock, blues, funk . . . Bill and his beautiful wife, Julie, are the proud parents of two wonderful children Jack and Phoebe.

James Mils - Piano & Keyboards & Vocals
Jim began playing piano at Davidson College, when a friend showed him the blues scale. He has studied with Charlie Banacos and Jeff Covell in the Boston area and is a proud alumnus of the Bunker Hill Community College Jazz Ensemble. Jim performs through out New England with some of the best local, national and international musicians on the scene.

Jack Mason - Bass & Vocals
Jack has been laying down the bottom around Boston for many years. He has studied bass with Oscar Stignaro and voice with Ja-nae Duane and is an alumnus of the BHCC Jazz Band. His way down, round sound has appeared on a variety of independent labels. He is an accomplished bassist, vocalist and band leader who is well versed in Rock, Funk, R&B, Jazz and a variety of traditional folk and ethnic styles. Collaborating with new and seasoned local artists, Jack records and performs all over New England.
