The Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston areas are my primary markets but I am available for events throughout all of Texas and the whole United States as well. Since bagpiping is what I have been doing full-time for the past twelve years, I am available at any time and can travel to any place you need me to be. When hiring me you can be sure that you are getting a professional on a bagpipe that sounds like a musical instrument.
If your event calls for a Celtic band, my group Scottish Mayhem is guaranteed to have the whole audience on its feet clapping and dancing along. Are you wanting an additional piper and/or percussion such as bodhran or Scottish snare drum? If so, then I can arrange that as well.
Weddings
The beautiful and stirring sounds of the bagpipe are the perfect touch to make one of the most memorable days of a couple's life even more so. The bagpipe will definitely be something that is talked about well after the big day has come and gone. Since I have performed at numerous weddings, I'll be happy to offer my experiences and suggestions in order to best achieve your vision for the ceremony. You'll have enough on your mind on the big day and I want the music to be one thing you won't have to worry about. Some suggestions for the wedding ceremony could include:
- Playing inside or outside the church as guests arrive
- Playing for the seating of the parents
- Playing for the entry of the bridesmaids
- Playing for the entry of the flower girl and ring bearer
- Playing for the entry of the groomsmen
- Playing for the bride's processional
- Playing a tune during the ceremony
(such as Unity Candle lighting)
- Playing for the recessional
(march bride and groom out of the ceremony)
- Playing outside the church as guests leave
I also can also perform at the reception if you wish – piping the bride and groom into the reception hall is a great way for them to make their grand entrance. Some suggestions I can make for the reception are:
- Playing inside or outside the hall as guests arrive
- March the bride and groom into the reception hall
- Playing some tunes during the reception
As you can see there are many possibilities and I will need to tailor them to fit your ceremony since each one is special and unique. If you have any other ideas then please let me know and we can make it happen. |
