Featuring A Touch of Brass jazz combo- The Madison Brass quintet & The Impact of Brass. Founded in 1981 these fine groups have been in demand for wedding ceremonies and receptions, select social and corporate events, concerts, and festivals throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

As a full time professional musician I will have the time to work with you every step of the way from the first phone call to your special day. I am the past president of the Madison Chapter of The American Federation of Musicians which covers all of Central Wisconsin.

A Touch of Brass jazz combo provides an elegant blend of cocktail and dance music for your reception. Our vast repertoire includes a wide variety of styles and tempos to suite most anyone. We feature the great swing tunes of the Big Band Era, selections from Broadway & Hollywood, vintage rock, exotic latin selections, beautiful ballads, elegant waltzes, polkas, light jazz and a little country all performed with the original dance tempos in mind. You will have Sandy La Clair on trumpet and flugelhorn along with piano, bass drums and our vocalist. Our sound is fresh, sophisticated, and well balanced. We are perfect for dining and socializing and we can easily turn it up a notch or two for dancing.

The Impact of Brass is The Madison Brass with full percussion. Brass with impact! Many of our exciting processional and recessional selections were originally written with percussion parts and now you can add that extra excitement to your ceremony music. But what makes this group special is it's ability to perform beautiful classical music then turn right around and recreate the sound and excitement of a big band with the variety and ambiance of a jazz combo. With the addition of a drummer our music is very danceable plus you can even bring your MP3 player with some of your own music! Our clients enjoy big band swing, lively latin, waltzes, polkas, ballads, vintage rock, dixieland, blues, show tunes, pops and more. Whether we are in tuxedos, dixieland outfits or contemporary dress we look as good as we sound and are professional in every way. We will see that you and your guests have a great time!

The Madison Brass

The Madison Brass quintet is the ultimate ensemble for inside and especially outside wedding ceremonies. Our sound is bright and exciting but never brash. The beautiful blend of the brass instruments gives the wedding repertoire a whole new regal splendor much as the original composers intended. Much of this music was written for important occasions of State and for the Church. We have perhaps the most complete repertoire of wedding music found anywhere in the midwest! Following your ceremony this versatile ensemble can go right into our jazz-reception book for wonderful cocktail and dinner music.
