CVP has been creatively producing beautiful wedding keepsakes for nearly twenty years. But how did it all begin?
“Bernard & Maria” are what makes CVP unique. The couple actually met at Maria’s sister’s wedding in which she was the Maid of honor and he was the videographer- true story! You can’t make this stuff up! ….And the rest….as they say “is history …in the making!”
Bernard founded CVP in 1989. From the moment he first picked up a camera Bernard was hooked! He loves being a part of the poignant journey of joyous family occasions. He is a true video artist skillfully keying in on the tiniest details and moments; artistically composing each motion filled shot, all the while blending in unnoticed. He is an amazing storyteller and video is his chosen medium.
Maria came on board in 1996 and added a “women’s touch”. With an undergraduate degree in Film and Video Production and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre, Maria has the extraordinary ability to understand the couple’s vision of their wedding, their style and personalities and helps them translate it into a photojournalistic story as well as onto video. She is excited about all the wonderful detailed planning that goes into each wedding to make them unique and for that brides just love her! A self proclaimed “memory pack rat”. Maria places utmost value on everything that preserves family memories… “Being able to remember and relive wonderful moments is such a gift…being able to share them with others is priceless.”
Together Bernard and Maria have been members of WEVA International, NJVA and PVCJ. Beyond participating as members of these organizations, they have served as board members as well as on several committees including Ethics. Planning & Education. Their work has been accepted for exhibition and has won numerous awards for creativity in both wedding and non wedding categories. However, the “award” they are proudest of, is being able to exceed expectations for their 100+ clients each year. “No plaque on our wall can make us feel as good as the phone calls we receive after our clients have received their albums and previewed their videos. Hearing how they were thrilled with not only the photo moments captured but also with their album's storytelling design and laughed and cried throughout the entire video and feel it is the best investment of all their wedding spending never gets old. Then, when they talk of how much the WHOLE family was there sharing it with them squealing with excitement…well …- that still gives us goosebumps!”
As a married couple themselves, Bernard and Maria understand first hand the challenges of planning a wedding and choosing the “perfect” vendors. The lesson they have learned; the "personal touch" makes all the difference in the world. As a result, they have created a team that shares their values, approach and love for event photography and videography professions. They personally oversee the service and production for each client. They have created an event photography and videography ‘family”.
